The Feeling Unveil New Single ‘My Way Up’
Ivor Novello award-winning, multi-platinum selling indie-pop band, The Feeling share their brand new single My Way Up, an upbeat pop song taken from their upcoming album, San Vito, set to arrive on April 12th via Little World Records.
What I like the most about this song is its energy and feel-good vibes that instantly got me excited to want to share it with you guys. My Way Up tells a story of feeling like you're living your life the wrong way up as it is very different from most people, a message flawlessly delivered through frontman Dan Gillespie's gorgeous, passionate vocals. Backing his vocals we have an upbeat indie-pop/adult contemporary production with cool brass elements seamlessly paired with catchy guitars, steady drums and strings that come together to create an upbeat, feel-good atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, frontman Dan Gillespie Sells comments,
‘My Way Up’ came about when I was writing a script about a kid who is ‘gravitationally divergent’. They live their whole life upside down. The song followed naturally from the script and we played it together as a band and loved it. It's a metaphor for feeling like you're living your life the wrong way up, differently from everyone else. It's a very fun song and we really love playing it!
