Plàsi Unveils New Single ‘Avignon’

Swedish-Greek singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer Plàsi shares his brand new single Avignon, the latest single to be lifted fromm his forthcoming EP, Salamina, due out on July 26th via Nettwerk.

Avignon marks a departure from Plàsi's usual style, as he collaborates with Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, Peter Björn & John, First Aid Kit) to create a musical fusion that surprised even himself. Inspired by the vision of a dreamy road trip from Sweden to France, along the French south coast, Avignon takes listeners on a captivating and adventurous journey reflected in both the music and the official video. I am loving how smooth and soothing his vocals sound, gliding effortlessly over the fresh and addictive indie-folk production that pairs lush electronics with a killer bass and guitar riffs. The whole atmosphere of the song is quite comforting, exuding carefree summer vibes! Speaking about the song, Plàsi said,
It’s the most experimental song on the EP. It has a sound that I didn’t expect we would reach before entering the studio, but it really made me take a step into exciting territory together with Yttling.

Accompanying the release, Plàsi shares its official music video, directed by Olof Grind, which effortlessly enhances the song's warmth and laid-back vibes!
