Liv Miraldi Shares New Single ‘Teeth’
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Liv Miraldi shares her brand new single Teeth, out now on song girl records.
The follow up of last month's sad, indie-pop gem Friend of the Family, Teeth carries on with the sad themes, finding the talented artist singing about how we never truly know what's going on in someone's life. Social media only shows the surface and we may think someone is living the best life, but underneath they can be struggling and truly sad and depressed. This song comes out of a place of heartbreak and depression, feelings that most of us can relate to. I am loving how dulcet Liv Miraldi's vocals are, effortlessly enhancing the song's vulnerability and emotion that is backed by a polished indie-pop production. Apart from her heartfelt delivery and ethereal harmonies, I am particularly fond of those lush plucks which are seamlessly paired with steady drum patterns that together create an overall warm, sad atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, the songwriter confides,
“Teeth” is a cautionary tale about how things can look perfect from the outside, but you never truly know what’s going on in someone’s personal life. I was at my lowest during this time, grappling with profound heartbreak, loss, and depression; but, from social media all you would see is that I’d signed a publishing deal, moved to LA, and was living ‘the dream.’ When I look back on this season, the only noticeable sign that I was struggling was that I had stopped smiling with my teeth."
