Canadian indie-pop band Ivytide are back with their brand new single vacant, a gorgeous song that delves into feelings of patience and self-reflection. 

 

Taken from their debut album portable darkroom, out now on Indica Records, vacant finds lead singer Nathan Gagné beautifully showcasing his smooth vocals and dynamic delivery (from an effortless falsetto and rapped verses) that effortlessly connects us to their relatable storytelling. vacant takes listeners on a journey through introspection, self-realisation and growth, all this wrapped around a captivating indie-pop/rock production that won me over from the very first listen. I am getting late 90s vibes while listening to this song and apart from Nathan's gorgeous vocals I am loving the intricate guitar riffs which are seamlessly intertwined with a killer bass and punchy drum pattenrs that together create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone.
