FKB Share New Single ‘Mirror on the Ceiling’

Canadian, four-piece, indie-pop band FKB, consisting of JUNO Award-nominated songwriter Drew Shalka (lead vocals/bass), Travis Topylki (lead guitar), Derek Chalut (drums), and Alex Fedorouk (rhythm guitar), share their brand new single Mirror on the Ceiling, a high-energy indie-pop song with an anthemic vibe!

Co-written and produced by Shaun Frank (The Chainsmokers, Dua Lipa, Liam Payne), Mirror on the Ceiling is a nostalgic, reflective song wanting to go back to relive the blissful moments of one's youth. This song exudes carefree summer vibes and Drew Shalka's passionate vocals effortlessly embody that nostalgic feeling of their storytelling. I am loving the killer guitar riffs and how they set the tone for a memorable and enthralling listening experience as they are paired with punchy drum patterns, lush, expansive synths and cool rhythms. There's also somewhat of a retro vibe in the song that makes me even more enamoured with this song and I am very excited to share it with you! You can feel the passion pouring from Shalka's stunning vocals and that anthemic chorus effortlessly got me in a good mood and singing along to it right after the very first listen.

Speaking about the song, Drew Shalka said,
‘Mirror on the Ceiling’ is about the innocence of youth and wanting to live in those moments forever. Sonically, we wanted to express a feeling of longing by combining a variety of influences from different eras like Prince, The Killers, and Bruce Springsteen.
