Written about the fear of being alone, Restless Lover finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing his passionate vocals over a bright, retro-infused production that instantly got me in a good mood. I really like how Pikes captures the current dating scene and how it is perfectly wrapped around a captivating production that features a memorable driving beat, punchy drums and bright synths that together create an overall upbeat, feel-good atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Pikes said,

This is a song about app-dating and the fear of being alone. I feel like some people confuse physical love for emotional love and the act of love and sex becomes a substitute and a proof of self worth and they get stuck in a hamster wheel of dating. Because there’s always the possibility that they might get a better looking date or one with a better job.
