San Diego-based R&B singer and songwriter Ainjo has just shared her brand new single Pity Party, a gorgeous, soulful R&B cut out now via Hear the Halos Records. 

 

I am a fan of Ainjo's rich, soulful vocals that instantly command the listener's attention to her storytelling. Pity Party was born after going through stressful months and having her mother saying she won't be part of her pity party. Change can be very stressful to someone and all we need is to vent, showing our fears and insecurities. Speaking about the song, Ainjo said,

There's a lot of change happening in my life. I’m active duty in the Navy and the Military is putting me out after ten years because of my health. It’s very overwhelming for me the idea of getting out the Navy. I called my mother everyday for about two months stressed about getting out and one day she said to me “Ainjo, I’m not going to be party of your Pity Party”. Getting out the Navy and pursing music full time is one of the hardest choices I have to make. But I know it’s all worth it. And thats where this gem came from.
