Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Peyton Shay has just shared her brand new single Twisted Saint, the first single to be taken from her forthcoming 5-track EP. 

 

What I like the most about the song is the contrast between Peyton Shay's smooth tone and the soaring electric guitar riffs. Twisted Saint talks about being in a toxic relationship and captures the tumultuous experience of being drawn to someone psychologically harmful. It spotlights how our attraction can become more addictive despite knowledge of its detrimental nature. This push-and-pull dynamic is mirrored through the song's intense musical arrangements which create quite an immersive listening experience that listeners will resonate with. I am particularly fond of the confidence pouring from her voice, powerful harmonies, resounding drum beats and smooth chorus that together make this quite a compelling listen. Check it out below!
