The Collection Share New Single ‘Spark of Hope’

North Carolina indie-pop band The Collection share their brand new single Spark of Hope, a luminous, soul-stirring piece of music out now on Nettwerk Music!

What I like the most about this song is its heartfelt, emotionally-charged atmosphere that instantly gave me the feels and got me excited to share it with you. I am loving David Wimbish's gorgeous, expressive vocals which emanates so much soul and emotion, beautifully connecting us to their relatable storytelling. As the title implies, Spark of Hope shares a positive message that there's always that light at the end of the tunnel and that better days are coming. I am really fond of this hopeful message which actually comes in a perfect time in my life as I tend to feel hopeless lately and this spark of hope is just what I need to get through with my days and hope for the best. This poetic lyricism is wrapped around a memorable piano-driven melody that is seamlessly paired with echoing harmonies, cool rhythms and steady beat that create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere packed with raw emotion and hope.

Speaking about the song, frontmant David Wimbish said,
I started to analyze how I feel about life, as someone who is often optimistic about projects, but not about my own mental state or health or future, and realized I don’t feel like someone who drowns in hope, but I’m not void of it either. I always try to at least carry a little spark of it, just enough to see in the darkness, and hope it’s enough to get me through. I wrote this song while we were in the studio, after almost a year of trying to write it and failing. It came together in a half hour and we recorded it the next day, with the lights low, during a thunderstorm.
