Speaking about the song, Eleanor said,
I am horribly impatient and I have been my whole life. My mom is always telling me to be patient, this is easily my number one character flaw. So it felt like a Big Lesson From The Universe that this time, I would have to learn to be patient. This was one of those songs that just clicked right off the bat. I brought it to the studio, played it for my producer, and we had such a clear picture of what the song was going to be, so the process of laying down the track and adding layers was so smooth. Everything just worked —it was one of those studio sessions where the song just gives itself to you.
