A promise to always be there, by their side, as years come to an end and time moves forward. I’ve always found this season illuminates the missing presence of those loved and lost and it can be a difficult period for many of us. I hope this song offers hope and reminds us to hold the ones we care about closely. Jamie Macneal and I went into the studio and decided on a minimal, stripped-back production for the track. We wanted the words and melodies to speak for themselves and for the sound to be simple and intimate. Just vocals, guitar and a message of love and friendship at Christmas.
