Rachel Newnham Shares New Single ‘Jealous’

Emerging London-based indie pop artist Rachel Newnham shares her brand new single Jealous, an upbeat, playful pop song!

The follow up to her heartfelt debut single Nobody Loevs You Like I Do, Jealous is inspired by Tate McRae's "she's all I wanna be" and Olivia Rodrigo's "jealousy, jealousy", diving into insecurities with our bodies and not being able to stop comparing ourselves with others. It has a special focus on today's social media-driven society where people tend to show a "perfect" life, making some feeling a bit jealous, even though we should realise that what most people share on social media isn't real. This relatable message is beautifully delivered through Rachel's rich, distinctive vocals which glide effortlessly over a playful pop production packed with groovy beats and rhythms that create an overall feel-good, danceable atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Rachel Newnham said,
The song dives into the insecurities I've had about my body and how I often get caught in comparing myself to others and so there are so called "perfect relationships" that aren't always what they seem and what most people post on social media is not real. It’s natural to feel jealous sometimes, and I just feel that it’s not talked about a lot in songs so I wanted to write a song for people to know it’s okay to feel a bit jealous sometimes.
