MarMar, the moniker of American/French producer Mario Pedron, teams up with Nashville-based producer, singer and songwriter Ben Becker to deliver Veins, a super chill, lo-fi house/electro-pop cut out now via Mammal Sounds Records.
Co-written and co-produced by both artists, Veins is a song that beautifully combines their sounds into a memorable and enthralling listening experience. I am really enjoying Ben Becker's smooth, expressive vocals which flow effortlessly over the captivating production, beautifully capturing my attention from start to finish. The whole production is quite warm, comforting yet melancholic, with the delicate piano keys throughout being seamlessly paired with infectious rhythms and killer bass that make this a perfect song for a long late night drive or reflective days home alone. Speaking about the song, MarMar said,
I wrote the original idea for this track almost exactly a year ago. I was going through the process for my visa and trying to still find time to write, which was super tough. I eventually sent it over to Ben this year, and he began writing to it. He wrote something really special about Faith and it resonated with me and my current life. The track turned into something unique for us both, like a combination of both of our sounds..
