Bronze Whale x Martron Share New Single ‘Blooming’ (Very Yes Remix)
Bronze Whale, the project of American artists Aaron Jaques and Benny Alley, are back with the first remix of their Blooming Remix EP.
Out now via Magic Magic, Blooming is a collaboration with fellow American DJ, producer and songwriter Martron that came our earlier this year and is now given a remix treatment in the shape of a 6-track remix EP. The first remix, and my favourite off of the project, is Very Yes's take which instantly got me excited to want to share it with you guys. Very Yes enhances the chill vibes of the song by transforming it into a moody, chill-house gem that features ethereal-like atmospherics with infectious percussive elements that accentuates the somber, echoing vocals. I'm also getting tropical vibes from this remix, exuding so much warmth and chill vibes that make it perfect for a laid-back weekend out in the sun. Check it out below!
Speaking about the remix EP:
We knew as we were finishing Blooming, that it would be such a wonderful song for remixes. In fact, I think Aaron, Marlon, and myself already had ideas of directions we had wanted to take the song stylistically. We each decided to create a remix that embodied genres and production we loved separately. Aaron (Very Yes) creating a warm and dreamy house remix, I (Benny/Soft Jaw) wanted to explore the bouncy, 808 pumping, elements of the early 2010’s, and Marlon (Martron), his love of hard-hitting yet melodic dubstep. We brought on an additional three artists. Jet Horns (Mouthe/The Jon Johns) with his hyper unique indie/electronic style, Poles delivered a moody & entrancing deep-house remix, and Malvae rounded us out with what an ominous and lucious slow burn that I can only describe as probably (definitely) the closer to our future live shows. Each so unique, but all feeling so natural, effortlessly blending the vocals of the original.
