Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Rosie Darling shares her brand new single I'm Different Now, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming album, Lanterns, set to arrive on November 10th via Nettwerk!
I am a fan of Rosie Darling's dulcet vocals and dreamy harmonies which exude so much vulnerability and emotion, beautifully drawing our attention to her storytelling. I'm Different Now is an ode to healing and self-growth, an empowering message that just gave me that extra push to want to feel and be happier with my life. Apart from her dreamy vocals and ethereal harmonies, I am particularly fond of the melodic guitar plucks throughout the song and how they are nicely paired with cool rhythms and atmospherics that create an overall comforting, warm atmosphere perfect for a laid-back, introspective day. ‘I'm Different Now’ is about getting to the other side of a difficult relationship. What's awesome is that even though healing is messy and scary, it paves the way for a more mature, more refined self to take the space of what once was. It is learning to sit with who you're becoming despite knowing that your old self still lingers, almost like a ghost following you around.
