Ethan Lyric Shares New Single ‘I Love You More’

Winnipeg-born Indigenous musician and songwriter Ethan Lyric shares his brand new single I Love You More, a laid-back, romantic piece of indie-folk music taken from his upcoming Saskatoon Berries EP, out later this year.

What I like the most about this song is its heartwarming touches and intimate atmosphere that make the song quite a soothing and comforting listening experience. Inspired by his real-life views on love, I Love You More encapsulates the feelings one has when everything reminds them of someone, a relatable message beautifully conveyed through his smooth, expressive vocals. I am also very fond of the way the song pairs indie and folk elements with hints of bossanova, making it such a lovely and warm listening experience perfect for a laid-back weekend. Speaking about the song, Ethan Lyric said,
’I Love You More’ was written after watching the show Heartstopper and was inspired by my real-life views on love. I think this single shows off the simplicity of love while growing up and just how easy it can feel. The song works to encapsulate the memories you may have of when everything reminds you of a person, and everything you do seems dull in comparison to them. Not being able to put into words how you feel about someone is a common occurrence, and I guess my way of dealing with that is writing a song like this."
