Séamus Shares New Single ‘Hometown Hero’

Californian singer, songwriter and producer Séamus shares his brand new single Hometown Hero, the second single taken from his upcoming sophomore EP, The Town Where I Sleep. 

 

Out now via Burly Records, Hometown Hero is an emotive alternative pop ballad packed with raw, passionate vocals and poignant sotrytelling, showcasing his knack for making irresistibly addictive and cinematic Gen-Z pop. I am really enjoying how smooth and expressive his vocals are, beautifully delving into the complexities of love and longing, narrating the struggle of being the secret lover of someone already commited to another. The protagonist acknowledges the consequences of their actions, knowing that their love affair is destined to bring pain and heartache. However, the intensity of their feelings makes it difficult to let go. Séamus beautifully captures the bittersweet moments they shared, like falling asleep together, finding it hard to put those memories to rest. The song's theme revolves around the conflicting emotions of desire, guilt, and the yearning for something they can't fully have.
