Femke Shares ‘Love Somebody Else’ Music Video

Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Femke shares the official music video for her stunning new single Love Somebody Else, an enchanting bedroom/lo-fi pop song out now via ENCI Records.

Written with Deanna Walker and Tyler James Bellinger, Love Somebody Else is the second song shared from her debut five-song EP Safe in the Suburbs. I am a fan of Femke's rich, emotive vocals and haunting harmonies which are packed with so much soul and emotion that is impossible not to feel each and every single word she is singing. Love Somebody Else is a song about falling in love with someone who pretended to be a different person so you would fall for them. This message and emotions are beautifully enhanced through its accompanying cinematic video, directed by Hannah Gray Hall, which you can check out below!

Speaking about the song, Femke said,

When I lived in LA I had an ex boyfriend who ended up being a stalker. He was incredibly good at being two completely different people and to the outside world no one would ever be able to see that other side of him. A big part of this song is about how you fall in love with one person and you think that that's who they are, until you realize it was actually someone else who just made you want to believe they were the person you fell in love with. It's been years ago that this has happened but it took a while to not walk around scared.
