Sofia Talvik Shares New Single ‘Circle of Destruction’

Swedish singer and songwriter Sofia Talvik shares her new single Circle of Destruction, a modern folk gem taken from her upcoming album, Center of the Universe. 

Out now via Makaki Music and inspired by 70s protest anthems, Circle of Destruction was written in the first days of Russia's invasion of Ukraine but has an all-over theme about the wish for peace and acceptance. It also covers the topic of immigration, which is not just war-based, and the search for truth. I am really enjoying the tone of Sofia's vocals which effortlessly convey the emotion of her powerful storytelling, soaring effortlessly over the intricate acoustic guitars and accordion. There's also touches of melancholia that I really like and the overall atmosphere of the song is quite warm and intimate. Check it out below!
