SACARIAS Shares New Single ‘People Pleaser’

SACARIAS, the moniker of Norwegian singer, songwriter and producer Sakarias N. Lundstad, shares his brand new single People Pleaser, an energetic funk-infused pop song out now via Capella Records. 

 

I am really enjoying his passionate vocals which are packed with soul and emotion, soaring effortlessly over the upbeat production. As the title implies, People Pleaser is a song about the struggle of constantly trying to meet other people's expectations, leading to stress and losing oneself. It highlights the pressure to perform and succeed in today's society which can cause unnecessary mental strain. This relatable message also highlights the shame and guilt associated with such feelings, given the privilege of living in a western world where basic needs are met. Apart from his passionate vocals, I am particularly fond of the groovy bass line and how it is seamlessly paired with steady percussive elements and synths that culminate into an anthemic chorus perfect to sing along to.
