Nathaniel Paul Shares New Single ‘The World We're Living In’
Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter and 1/2 of the band The Bergamot, Nathaniel Paul has just shared his brand new single The World We're Living In, the latest single to be taken from his of his upcoming sophomore album, Turpentine, which will arrive this summer through AWAL.
What I like the most about this song is its warmth and reflective atmosphere which makes it perfect to play while home alone during a rainy day. The World We're Living In is a reflection on where our culture and world is at, a message beautifully delivered through Nathaniel's smooth, expressive vocals which are seamlessly backed by an intricate acoustic guitar-based melody that together create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere. Its accompanying video was shot on his phone during a day in New York City, beautifully capturing the song's warmth and reflective atmosphere. Check it out below!
Speaking about the video, Nathaniel Paul said,
I wanted this video to be a reflection on where our culture is at. It was a lot of fun to put it all together - juxtaposing different elements of life next to each other, it makes you feel something. It was a concept that really helped to elevate the lyrics of the song
