Emily Nicole Green Shares New Single ‘It’s Gonna Be Okay’
NYC-based singer-songwriter Emily Nicole Green shares her brand new single It's Gonna Be Okay, the first single to be taken from her forthcoming EP, OUTRUNNING THE ANIMAL.
Out now via A Little Bit Of Light Records, It's Gonna Be Okay was written, performed and produced by Emily herself, effortlessly showcasing her incredible talents as an artist. What I like the most about this song is how passionate and emotive her vocals are, beautifully conveying the emotion of her honest, relatable storytelling. Written after a school shooting, It's Gonna Be Okay is a song that aims to help people in pain to feel less a lone, giving them a sign of hope and light at the end of the tunnel. This message is wrapped around a captivating blend of folk, americana and singer-songwriter elements that feature lush strings seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns, subtle piano keys and guitar riffs that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere packed with emotion. Speaking about the song, Emily Nicole Green said,
I wrote this song during Covid and after yet another school shooting. With everything going on, I truly believe that this song will help people in pain feel less alone and offer a little bit of light. It's an offering for anyone going through a hard time and trying to do hard things - big or small - from a hard day to a break up to a loss of someone loved. It's for anyone who needs to feel seen and empathized with, and this song simultaneously offers to hold hope for those who may not be able to hold it for themselves. This song speaks directly to the parts that ache because "sometimes ya just need to hear 'em say... it's gonna be ok.
