Alta Falls & Michael Mayo Share New Single ‘I Can See Your Face Through The Rain’

Brisbane indie/alternative outfit Alta Falls, consisting of Nathanael Hubbard and Matthew Green, are back with their brand new single I Can See Your Face Through The Rain, the latest single taken from their highly-anticipated sophomore EP, Wild Dreams.

I Can See Your Face Through The Rain is the duo's first collaboration with American singer and producer Michael Mayo lending his soulful voice and production touches to the track. This emotionally-charged song delves into the intricate realms of relationships and mental health, a relatable message wrapped around an infectious production that pairs deep, brooding synths with steady drum patterns and soaring guitars. I am loving the emotion pouring from the vocals and how passionate the delivery is, effortlessly enhancing the song's emotional and warm atmosphere. Have a listen to this gem below!

Speaking about the song, Matthew Green said,
Michael reached out to us and said he was addicted to our song ‘Rain’, and said he had some ideas for a remix. We thought there was no harm in hearing his ideas – we were absolutely floored by what we heard. His voice is otherworldly, and I still get goosebumps every time I hear the second verse and outro.

Lead singer Nathanael describes the essence of the song;
It tells the story of a new relationship — that time where being vulnerable and opening up about your demons and mental health struggles feels almost impossible. The perceived threat kicks in, and you fear you’ll lose the relationship before it’s even started.
