Chinese Canadian alt-pop singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Vicki Lee shares her brand new single Retaliate, a confident piece of electro-pop music out now! 

 

I am really enjoying how confidently her vocal delivery glides over the dark, dramatic alt/electro-pop production, singing about that it's okay to have feelings, it’s okay to be affected and stand up again with retaliation for that is the human condition. Apart from her lush vocals, I am particularly fond of the hooky, dynamic production that pairs electronic elements with dark sounds and orchestral instrumentations. Apart from her vocals, I am particularly fond of the beat throughout the song, cool synths and piano chords that together create an overall warm, vibrant listening experience. Check it out below!
