I am a fan of Nicki's enchanting, heartfelt vocals which are packed with so much raw, honest emotion that is impossible not to feel each and every single word she is singing. A song about the process of grieving after loss, Holy Smoke whispers directly to the heart of the listener, opening it up to the intense feeling pouring from her stunning vocals and storytelling abilities. There's a touch of melancholia in the song that I really like, but we can sense a sign of beauty and hope following grief.
