Jay Kayze Shares New Single ‘You Heard’

Bay Area rapper, singer and multiinstrumentalist, Jay Kayze shares his brand new single You Heard, the second single off of his upcoming debut EP Before I Go, which is set to arrive on June 30th. 

 

Out now via Pink Castle Records, You Heard is a chilled out piece of music that finds the artist singing about his experience with identity and the effects it has had on him growing up. It shows how he decided to choose to focus his energy on himself, his music and his personal growth, inspiring listeners to do to same and not let others criticism affect us. This message is beautifully delivered through his smooth, confident vocals that glide effortlessly a captivating blend of Hip-Hop and R&B elements, featuring a trap-inspired beat and lush guitar lines that together create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere. 

 

Accompanying the release, Jay Kayze shared its official music video, directed by Louis Ramirez, which follows him through a series of epic performance shots in the desert, infusing summer vibes and a light, airy aesthetic in contrast to his heavy lyrics. Check it out below!
