Australian indie/folk-rock artist Daniel Trakell shares his brand new single Folk Song #2, a retro-infused folk song out now via Dumont Dumont. 

 

I am loving how expressive and emotive Daniel's vocal delivery is, effortlessly making us feel each and every single word he is singing. Folk Song #2 was inspired by listening to 60s era folk, songs by artists like Townes Van Zandt, Jackson C Frank and Bob Dylan and finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing his singing and storytelling abilities. Apart from his gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate acoustic guitar-based melodies paired with subtle rhythms and double-tracked vocals that together create an overall warm, somewhat melancholic atmosphere that makes the song perfect for a reflective day home alone.
