Following her reflective gem Over Again, Nashville-based singer and songwriter Katie Boeck is back with yet another gorgeous song called Calico (Lonely Love), a gentle song that articulates how lonely and isolated we can feel in such a hyperconnected world –dm’s, texts, stories, no one just picks up the phone anymore. 

 

This very relatable story is flawlessly delivered through Katie's enchanting vocals which flow beautifully over the warm production. Apart from her lush vocals, I am particularly fond of the acoustic guitar-driven melodies that then burst into a jazzy, sultry sound with steady percussive elements and rhythms that infuse just the right amount of energy to the song.
