Joonas Shares New Single ‘Live a Little (Gold)’
London-based, Norwegian-born artist Joonas has just shared his brand new single Live a Little (Gold), a passionate acoustic/pop song out now via Let Love Lead.
What I like the most about this song is how heartfelt his vocal delivery is, instantly capturing the listener's attention to his relatable storytelling. You can really feel that Joonas poured his heart in this song which talks about those moments at night when you're overthinking and feeling heartbroken but not really understanding why. As an overthinker I can say I fully relate with this feeling and I find Joonas does a great job capturing this emotion through his heartfelt storytelling and passionate vocals which are backed by a dreamy blend of folk and pop elements. Apart from his vocals, I am particularly fond of the airy rhythms nicely intertwined with acoustic guitar riffs and delicate piano keys that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for his vocals to soar. “Live a Little” is a song for when you are young and free, but awake at night, overthinking; a song for when think you love partying, but then you sneak away to smoke a cigarette on the roof. It’s a song for when you are heartbroken but you can’t fully understand why. Intimate, folky, dreamy and painful, but most of all honest - something I’ve never really been before.
