What I like the most about this song is how passionate LIVM's vocals are and how that slight raspy touch in his vocal delivery beautifully enhances the emotion of his storytelling. Friends is a breakup song about losing someone you love over time, not having a clean break and still having feelings for that person which makes it difficult to even stay friends. This is a very relatable message effortlessly conveyed through his gorgeous vocals that are accompanied by catchy percussive elements, cool rhythms and synths that combined create an overall warm, emotional atmosphere.
