I am really enjoying Lauren L'aimant's echoing, emotive vocals and how they instantly make the song perfect to sing along to while infusing it with a touch of soul and emotion. Backwards was written on Zoom with Kelly at the helm on production duties and the end result is a vibey house tune that instantly got me in a good mood. We're gifted with lush melodies, a warm groove and earworm performances by L’aimant and Scott on verse and chorus duties respectively, beautifully backed by killer percussive elements, expansive synths and delicate house piano chords that together create an overall feel-good atmosphere perfect for a Saturday night out with friends.
