ROSIE Shares New Single ‘Startover’
New York native singer, classical violinist, guitarist, vocal producer and songwriter ROSIE has just shared her brand new single Startover, the first single to be taken from ROSIE's sophomore EP due out this Spring.
Out now via Arista Records, Startover finds ROSIE veering away from the more melancholic sounds of her first EP into a more uptempo, uplifting direction, both sonically and lyrically. I am loving how emotive ROSIE's vocals sound here, being backed by a delicate piano melody before exploding into an infectious, heartfelt chorus. You can really feel the passion and emotion pouring from ROSIE's vocals which address her relationship with herself and her mental health. Speaking about the song, ROSIE said,
‘Startover’ is about my relationship with myself and my mental health. When writing it, I was in a period of my life where I felt like I was in a constant fight with myself. This song is me realizing that I needed to let go of certain parts of who I was that were no longer serving me and start rebuilding myself from the ground up. I hope this song finds anyone else who’s experiencing these feelings and I hope that they’re able to see that they are not alone in what they’re going through.
