James Vickery Shares Tender New Single ‘(I Get So) Emotional’

South London's fast-rising R&B singer and songwriter James Vickery has just shared his brand new single (I Get So) Emotional, a tender R&B cut taken from his upcoming EP, Sheet Music, set to arrive on March 3rd.

Out now via Left Side Recordings, (I Get So) Emotional has a memorable 90s R&B golden era vibe that I really like, with James Vickery's honeyed, soulful vocals gliding beautifully over a tender R&B production. James definitely nailed this retrospective approach to his sound; something that feels familiar but is distinctive James Vickery throughout. This is one of his most romantically-charged releases to date and comes just in time for Valentine's Day, as his stunning, expressive vocals, dreamy harmonies and soothing, warm melodies are guaranteed to get you in a mood for romance. If you're into sweet and alluring nods to 90s R&B with a fresh take and memorable melodies, then you'll love (I Get So) Emotional. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, James Vickery said,
It’s probably the most ambitious song I’ve ever made. I’ve really admired how people like Silk Sonic for example were able to make an almost completely nostalgic song and make it relevant. I believe my brief for making the track was Boyz II Men but more cheesy. I really committed and did my education on this period of music- I’m delighted with the outcome.
