Aisha Badru Shares New Single ‘Lazy River’

American indie-folk singer and songwriter Aisha Badru has just shared her brand new single Lazy River, a gossamer folk-pop single taken from her upcoming EP, Learning To Love Again, out June 2 via Nettwerk.

This is such a hypnotic and memorable listening experience that I have on repeat and the more I listen to it the more amazing it sounds. Aisba Badru's smooth, siren-esque vocals infuse the song with a touch of vulnerability and emotion, soaring beautifully over the captivating production. Lazy River is a song abou the healing process after loss and is flawlessly delivered through Aisha's dreamy vocals which are backed by intricate guitar plucks that are seamlessly intertwined with an infectious beat, haunting harmonies and atmospherics that create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere perfect for a reflective day home alone.

This gem is accompanied by an equally stunning music video directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick, choregraphed by Nyda Kwasowsky and featuring dancer Amara Barner. Watch it below!

Speaking about the song, Aisha Badru said,
It’s this freeing of myself and allowing myself to try things that people would not expect of me. I feel more comfortable not meeting those expectations. It’s about the healing process after loss. Emotional healing is a journey. True healing takes time and there should be no shame or urgency in any step of the process.
