Speaking about the song, Sarah Navaratnmam said,
My new single “A Moment” is based As an individual who leaned on this connection, I slowly began to ignore the many lies that were revealed to me and I adapted their lifestyle. This included disguising my true character with the use of high-end cosmetics and attire in order to gain acknowledgement from society. However, once that connection broke, I was left with nothing. During the entirety of our friendship, I felt important to people. This is why I reminisce how in my mind I went from having nobody, to being loved by everyone around me, but it was only for a moment.
