Ponette Shares New Single ‘Beats Me Up’ ft. Coucheron

Norwegian singer/songwriter Ponette is back with her brand new single Beats Me Up, a bright piece of electro-pop music out now via Toothfairy.

For this song, the talented artist teamed up with fellow Norwegian producer Coucheron and the result is a captivating pairing of Ponette's experimental indie-pop sound with a polished electronic production. I am really enjoying the tone of Ponette's vocals which are quite confident and seductive at the same time, singing about the need to escape from a relationship and feeling as though you need some space although finding this difficult to do. This relatable message is wrapped around an infectious production that features intricate guitar riffs, heavy synths, distorted elements, rich atmospherics and a bass-driven sound. Definitely one of those songs that stick to your head right after the very first listen. Check it out below!

Speaking of the new single, Ponette said:
Beats Me Up (ft. Coucheron) was created during a massive wave of feelings. Totally overwhelming. I just had to find a way to communicate all of the raw emotions that had been building up in my body for a while, and I want the song to feel like that when you listen to it as well. I hope people can relate, and that I’m not totally crazy.
