Speaking about the song, Niko The Kid said,
Maylyn and I first met up over zoom during the covid lockdown days back in 2020. We wanted to create something haunting and dark. Initially, we wrote it at a much slower tempo which lent itself to the writing process. I was really inspired by the Freemasons version of Alanis Morissette's “Uninvited” which had this big beautiful string arrangement. So after recording all the vocals on her end, I locked myself in and started drafting the strings. I think I spent about a week programming the individual violins, violas, cellos, etc. After that, I sped it up and filled it out with drums, bass, and all. This may be my favorite record I've done to date.
