LEXXE Shares New Single ‘X’

New York-based singer, songwriter, producer, dancer and performer LEXXE has just shared her brand new single X, a high-energy synthpop song.
X is a heartwarming tale of love and loss, an oder to her father Xavier (X) who passed away 20 years ago this year. The nontraditional release date - Sunday, January 29th - is her late father's birthday. What I like the most about this song is its infectious, retro-infused swirling disco beats and how they create the perfect soundscape for LEXXE's gorgeous vocals and raw, diaristic lyricism to soar. This synthpop gem is euphoric and emotional all at once, instantly giving you the feels but also making you want to get up and dance. That memorable driving beat and catchy hooks really won me over from the start and got me super excited to share it with you guys. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, LEXXE said,
A few years ago I was performing and could absolutely swear I saw my father sitting front row. I love to write about the supernatural and the things we don’t understand, so while I acknowledge that seeing him could’ve been something my mind made up, it doesn’t make it any less poignant. The song is composed of different lines about me questioning life and death, talking about real life events (the show where I thought I saw him, his friends seeing me in random bars and crying because I look like him, the last time I saw him) and it's really a question of do we ever really die?
