Mokita Shares New Single ‘High’

Mokita, the moniker of Nashville singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist John-Luke Carter, has just shared his brand new single High, a captivating indietronica cut out now via Nettwerk Music.

I am a fan of Mokita's smooth, expressive vocals which instantly capture our attention to his relatable storytelling. The first single to be taken from his upcoming EP, High is a song that addresses compulsion and could be a journal entry into Mokita’s own expedition of obsession. Mokita’s revitalizing beats and dynamic production offers a fresh take on dealing with this heavy and complicated subject. I am really fond of the groovy beats and overall warm, laid-back atmosphere that makes the song perfect for a chilled out weekend. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Mokita said,
The bottom line to all addiction is that it is a day-by-day process. And even after three and a half years there are many days where I still crave the very things that were messing up my life. I can easily romanticize the past and forget how much hurt and pain all those addictions caused.
