James Angus Shares Debut Single ‘I Know’ ft. Xavier Mayne & Bently
Brisbane-based record producer James Angus teams up with fellow Australian artists Xavier Mayne, BENTLY, and HARRY FOX to release his debut single I Know.
The award-winning, platinum-accredited songwriter and producer is known for his diverse work with
artists such as Example, Carmouflage Rose, The Veronicas, Nicole Millar, Jai Waetford, No
Money Enterprise, Tkay Maidza, Last Dinosaurs and Eves Karydas but now is now launching his own
artist project in order to release music that he loves and
hasn’t quite fit in with the artists he’s collaborated with.
Out now via Platform Records, I Know is a captivating blend of electro-pop and r&b elements that back lush, honeyed vocals packed with soul and emotion. This is one of those songs that instantly get me in a good mood and I think you will enjoy it as much as I do. Apart from the gorgeous vocals we have groovy synths and beats nicely intertwined with atmospheric elements that together create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend or late night drives. “The making of ‘I Know’ came with a bit of an epiphany. Its initial idea was created a long time ago and while we all loved it, found it hard to fit it into artist release schedules and the like. Being a producer means that while you work on music every single day, the general public really only hears a very small percentage of it. I can’t wait to share some of the great moments I’ve been lucky to have over the years with some amazing artists.”
