Dylan explains the inspiration behind the track:
I got the idea for this song from a recent relationship. I realized that part of what made us so good was that we were completely ourselves with each other. That was also the exact reason we would clash. A LOT. Through lots of ups and downs, it was the most fun (while slightly) toxic situation I’ve ever been in. I wanted to make a song that channeled that feeling of “this is so bad, but also, the best.”
