German singer and songwriter Daniel Avens has just shared his brand new single Home, the latest single to be taken from his debut album, The Bivouac Nothes, which is out now.
Home is a stunning piece of acoustic/folk music packed with raw, honest emotion that instantly won me over from the start. I am a fan of Daniel Avens's gorgeous vocals which is beautifully backed by a heavenly choir later in the song that just makes it even more of a memorable listening experience. Home is a song about being lost but eventually finding your way back home, and is backed by lush guitar plucks seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns, emotive piano chords and dreamy strings that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a long drive or reflective days home alone. Speaking about the song, Daniel Avens said,
Home is the song that closes my debut Album "The Bivouac Notes". Both as the last song on the record, and thematically. It concludes, with all the painful, upsetting and lost paths that I process in the album. "I lost direction to find my home." - I have arrived. The song evolved in production from a simple folk song to an anthem that features strings and a rousing chorus for the second half. "Finally redeemed in that mountains crib."
