Slow Faint Shares Debut Single ‘Golden’

Australian artist Slow Faint shares his official debut single Golden, a re-imagining of a fractured traumatic memory which involved an acquaintance falling from a skyscraper. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its chill, bedroom/lo-fi pop production and how it sets the tone for a laid-back and introspective listening experience. His vocals are super smooth and expressive, singing about this traumatic memory as a witness but also as the person falling. Golden is a song that explores how one processes memory, trauma and the subconscious. Apart from his vocals I am particularly fond of the lush guitar plucks, steady drum patterns, lush piano keys and bright, expansive synth lines that together create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere.
