Carrellee Shares New Single ‘Morning Sun’

Winsconsin-based singer/songwriter Carrellee has just shared her brand new single Morning Sun, the latest track to be lifted from her upcoming debut album Scale of Dreams set to arrive on November 18th through Negative Gain Productions.

If you're into dark synth-pop music with dreamy vocals then you're in for a treat. I am loving how confident and dynamic Carrellee's vocal delivery is, sounding powerful yet vulnerable at the same time, floating beautifully over the polished electronic production. Recorded and produced with Minneapolis' Brett Bullion (Low, Bad Bad Hats), Morning Sun came to Carrellee in a dream during her divorce. The morning she quickly transcribed it from her home studio, and shared the demo video on Facebook the next day where it received 379K views. Apart from her gorgeous vocals I am particularly fond of the killer synths and memorable driving beat that together create quite a warm, laid-back atmosphere.

The accompanying visuals, directed by Doug Pray, beautifully embody the song's warmth and somewhat dark touch that won me over from the start. Check it out below!
