Token Honey Share New Single ‘Reality’

British band Token Honey, consisting of Christophe Genol De La Ceaux (drums), Adam Josephs (bass), Connor O'Hara (keys/synths), Ollie Whittle (guitar) and Rob Hodge (vocals/guitar), have just shared their latest single Reality, a chilled out piece of indie-pop/rock music.

I am a fan of Rob Hodge's confident, effortlessly vocal delivery which beautifully set the tone for a laid-back listening experience. Reality is a song about the relatable story of the evolution of a casual fling into deeper romance, a story that is complemented by equally saucy grooves and infectious, soulful melodies, all brought together in a silky production by Kevin Foy. Reality is yet another great example of the band's unique blend of synth pop, funk and disco elements, making this quite a memorable and enthralling listening experience perfect for a chill weekend. Speaking about the new single, lead vocalist Rob Hodge explained:
Reality is a special one for us as it marks the first time that all five of us collaborated in the writing process. It began as a neo-soul style demo sent between us before some of us had even met in-person before, and once we finally got into a rehearsal room together post-lockdown, it really took shape and quickly became one of our favourites in the live set.

The track is accompanied by a music video comprising footage from the band’s very first headline gig, showcasing why Token Honey’s reputation for energetic live shows is increasing across the UK.
