This song is about meeting someone for the first time, having a drink, getting to know them, but not wanting to give too much of yourself away too early. I’ve always been a big believer in knowing what makes you happy and staying true to yourself in any relationship. This is the song version of that, to know who you are and to make sure you are happy in yourself before you dive into something new.
