Dutch singer and songwriter Balthazar B has just shared his brand new single The Long Way Home, a jazzy piece of pop music out now via Spacetown Records.
I am really enjoying the tone of his voice and how expressive his delivery is, gliding beautifully over this captivating blend of Beatles harmonies with Gypsy Jazz chord progressions and folk elements. Speaking about the song, Balthazar B said,
On this occasion I was at a garden party and my brother-in-laws were playing Gypsy Jazz songs, Django Reinhardt and that ilk. I was inspired by the types of chords they were playing and I wondered if I could integrate them into one of my songs. The Long Way Home is the result of that experiment, Balthazar B style.
