Koen Fagen & 2nd Life Share New Single ‘Breaking It’ ft. Like Lions
Dutch producer Koen Fagen has teamed up with fellow German producer 2nd Life to deliver their brand new single Breaking It, a punchy and energetic Trap/EDM cut out now via Tribal Trap.
For this song the producers teamed up with Seattle-based singer, songwriter, and producer Like Lions whose passionate vocals and producing skills beautifully complement Fagen and 2nd Life's own producing skills. Breaking It pairs a unique blend of driving synths, punchy percussive elements and bass that together create a passionate, energetic, somewhat dark, atmosphere that instantly won me over and got me hooked throughout the song. Speaking about the collaboration, Koen Fagen said,
For along time I was listening to the music of 2ndLife and I really wanted to make a collab one day. So,I worked on some ideas and eventually he liked one of them. We agreed on working on this project together. So he started working onthe breaks and I had to improve the drop. We started this idea in January2021, so that’s a long time ago. I remember, 2ndlife, asking Like Lions to do the vocals, but he was busy the whole summer. But we didn’t lose faith and after the summer he picked up the song and the vocals were so good. 2ndLife and I senta lot of versionsback and forward and everything came together in this track. I must say I’m really proud of this track and to release it on Tribal Trap is a dream coming true.

I wrote these lyrics about the continued refusal by our global governments to apply any help towards solving the global climate crisis. Our time here is borrowed because of our refusal to make sacrifices and changes to our lives in order to save our planet.
