EMMAXTHOMAS Shares New Single ‘youonlylovemewhenimhappy’

London-based, self-taught English singer and songwriter EMMAXTHOMAS has just shared her brand new single youonlylovemewhenimhappy, an upbeat indie/electro-pop song. 

 

Produced by Jennings Couch, youonlylovemewhenimhappy was inspired after dating someone more recently who made it clear they didn’t like her when she wasn’t feeling entirely herself. This darker message is wrapped around a light-hearted pop production that is enhanced by EMMAXTHOMAS's lovely, dulcet tone. I am particularly fond of the catchy bea throughout the song, cool piano keys and infectious chorus perfect to sing along to. 

 

This catchy song is accompanied by a music video that furthers the light-hearted joke, with various dates where she feels she has to be happy, even in slightly miserable situations. It does, however, show a darker ending to show the seriousness of the message behind this cheerful tune. Check it out below!
