Hazlett Drops New Single ‘My Skin’

Rising Stockholm based Australian singer and songwriter Hazlett has released his sublime new single My Skin, out now via Nettwerk Music.

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how Hazlett's signature smooth, warm vocal delivery soars effortlessly over the intimate production. My Skin is a song about jealousy and how it may hurt to know that the person you have broken up with will go on the same type of dates and places they did with you. This is a very relatable message that is beautifully wrapped around a polished indie-folk production that features intricate guitar riffs seamlessly intertwined with steady drum beats and subtle horns that create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere. This is one of those songs I'd play when home alone with my thoughts or during a long walk outside.

Accompanying the release, Hazlett has shared its official music video, shot by Henrik Nilsson & Leo Palmberg, which enhances the song's warmth and chill atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Hazlett said,
You know in your head that eventually people are bound to move on. Of course, they are going to go on the same date nights, road trips and restaurants they did with you, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sting.
